BIO 101^® Systems has incorporated its patented GENECLEAN^® silica matrix into kits that significantly improve the efficiency and convenience of preparing transfection-grade plasmid DNA. The new BIO 101 Systems RPM^® Turbo Kits enable researchers to efficiently recover excellent yields of both high and low copy number plasmids from only 1-2 mL of bacterial culture.

The RPM Turbo Kits’ unique plasmid format offers significant time savings over silica slurry and spin filter formats. The user simply pipettes cleared lysate directly over the GENECLEAN embedded filter and processes with a microcentrifuge or vacuum. The BIO 101 Turbo cartridge for miniprep-scale production offers even greater convenience and time-savings, permitting the addition of wash and elution solutions while the tube is in the microcentrifuge. As many as twelve samples can be processed in under 15 minutes.
