Qbiogene has expanded its family of large-scale plasmid purification products to include a new fast filter kit that eliminates the need for centrifugation of bacterial lysate. As with the other products in the family, the PhoenIX Filter Maxiprep Kit utilizes a unique solid-phase column with patented ion exchange resin to optimize purification and enhance the degree of separation between different biomolecules. What makes the Filter Maxiprep Kit unique is that it incorporates a filter within the housing of the binding column directly above the resin. Neutralized lysate is poured straight through the filter onto the column in a single step. No extra preparation or incubation is required.
PhoenIX plasmid purification technology offers a significantly higher yield and faster protocol than similar products. Plasmid DNA purified with PhoenIX columns can be used immediately in a wide range of sensitive applications, including automated fluorescence sequencing, amplification, labeling, transcription, and cloning.
