Steve Perrone has served as Qbiogene’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since September 2000. Mr. Perrone has more than 20 years experience in accounting, including 13 years as Vice-President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of other companies. Prior to joining Qbiogene, he worked as Vice-President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of the LGS Group and the DMR Group. Before that, he acted as Vice-President Finance of Comterm Inc. Mr. Perrone holds a Bachelor in Commerce majoring in accountancy as well as a graduate diploma in accountancy from the Concordia University of Montréal. He is also a chartered accountant and a member of the L’Ordre des Comptables Agréés du Québec.

Mike Saunders has served as Qbiogene’s Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since February 1999. Mr. Saunders has more than 25 years experience in diverse healthcare diagnostics and biotechnology businesses. Prior to joining Qbiogene, he held senior executive positions in Johnson & Johnson Clinical Diagnostics Inc. as Vice President, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and President and General Manager of their European subsidiary based in Strasbourg, France. He also held executive positions with Eastman Kodak Co. as Chairman and General Manager & Vice President, Europe of Kodak Clinical Diagnostics Ltd., where he was responsible for businesses in Europe, Asia and the United States. Prior to that, as Managing Director of Amerlite Diagnostics Ltd., he managed the successful transition of the Amersham International Immunoassay business into Kodak Clinical Diagnostics Ltd. and the establishment of European and Japanese subsidiaries. He has also set up and raised funding for three small UK-based diagnostic and biotechnology companies and today retains several board positions. Mr. Saunders holds a B.Sc. in Economics majoring in business studies from the University of London.
