Plasmid Purification
BIO 101® Systems introduced its first plasmid purification kit, the RPM® Rapid Pure Miniprep Kit, over 15 years ago. Based on alkaline cell lysis, the original RPM® Kit incorporates the patented, silica-based GENECLEAN® purification of DNA. Economical and flexible, the original RPM® Kit contains GLASSMILK® slurry and spin filters a format still popular with researchers today. The BIO 101® Systems plasmid isolation product line has evolved with changing purification technologies. Single or high-throughput minipreps can now be done even more quickly with silica-embedded membranes housed in patented Turbo filters. Large scale production of ultrapure plasmid DNA can be performed with our new PhoenIX Midiprep, Maxiprep, and Gigaprep ion exchange kits.
