Purification of M13 phage or phagemid DNA

The ssPHAGE™ DNA SPIN Kit is designed to facilitate the isolation of single-stranded DNA from filamentous phage such as M13 or phagemids. Since filamentous phages are extruded from the host cell, phage are precipitated from the supernatant of a pelleted cell culture and lysed. Phage DNA is then bound
to a silica matrix, washed, and eluted. No enzymatic reactions or organic extractions are required.
