Oncology FISH Probes

Chromosome 1p36 Midi-Satellite (D1Z2)

Applications

  • Associated with deletions of 1p36
  • Neuroblastoma detect monosomy 1p36 in Subtelomeric Microdeletion Syndromes

The 1p36 Midi-Satellite (D1Z2) Probe is the first of the new oncology probes by Qbiogene Molecular Cytogenetics. This Fluorescein labeled probe has been optimized to detect copy numbers of region 1p36 on chromosome 1 in Metaphase/Interphase spreads, blood smears and paraffin embedded tissue sections.

Microscopy filter recommendations
Green fluorochrome is Fluorescein Isothiocyanate (FITC) - excitation 495 nm, emission 520 nm. For optimal visualization use specific single band pass filter sets. For co-localization, use multi-band pass filter sets (available through Qbiogene).
