ULS® Labeling Systems†
For chemical labeling of DNA and RNA
Qbiogene ULS® labeling kits are intended for the chemical, non-radioactive
labeling of single-stranded, double-stranded, linear
or supercoiled DNA, oligonucleotides, RNA, or PCR products.
The labeling kits are part of a family of labeling products based
on the Universal Linkage System (ULS®) which uses a special
platinum compound. The Pt-compound has two free binding
sites, one of which is used to bind a marker group, thus forming
a marker/platinum complex.
The Qbiogene labeling kits contain the platinum complex
called ULS® with the following labels attached: Biotin,
Dinitrophenol (DNP), Fluorescein (Flu), dGreen , Rhodamine
or DEAC. The other binding site is used to link the complex to
the purines of single-stranded, double-stranded, linear or
supercoiled DNA, oligonucleotides, RNA, PNA or chromosomes.
PCR products can also be labeled with ULS®.
All labeling kits contain simple labeling protocols and the
opportunity to label as little as 100 ng [exception for Biotin:
25 ng] to as much as 10 µg in a single reaction.
