The BIOFLOAT^®

Typical incubation mixtures of 50-200 µl do not provide enough weight to hold a 1.5 or 0.5 ml tube down in a loose-fitting rack in a water bath. A simple solution to this problem is the patented BIOFLOAT^®: A floating polypropylene rack that holds microcentrifuge tubes upright and in full contact with the water in a water bath.
Removable legs enable the entire experiment to be transferred to the bench at the end of the incubation. Each BIOFLOAT^® holds fourteen 1.5 - 2.0 ml tubes and ten 0.5 ml tubes. The center portion of the BIOFLOAT^® snaps out (the unique BOILAWAY^® feature!) to fit into a beaker. This portion can hold six 1.5 ml - 2.0 ml tubes and six 0.5 ml tubes. The BIOFLOAT^® is guaranteed not to soften at high temperatures or crack at low temperatures, and is available in several colors to aid in experimental coding.
