Each of the 25 preps in the PhoenIX Maxiprep Kit provides 500 µg of ultrapure plasmid DNA from 100 - 500 ml of bacterial culture. Cleared bacterial lysate is prepared by centrifugation and loaded onto the PhoenIX Maxi Column for rapid purification by gravity flow. Protocols for high copy and low copy plasmids are included in the instruction manual. If all 25 columns are to be used for low copy preps, the PhoenIX Maxiprep Low Copy Refill Kit is available to replenish the alkaline lysis buffers.
