Purification
Sucrose gradient purification of a recombinant baculovirus

The sucrose gradient purification of the amplified baculovirus is essential for any in vivo experiments. This step ensures the removal of defective particles and contaminants remaining from the Sf9 culture media, and concentrates the baculovirus to high titers. Time required: 1 - 2 weeks (depending on amplification volume).

Service includes:

  • Purifying the baculovirus on a sucrose cushion
  • Dialyzing the purified baculovirus in a buffer suitable for long-term storage and aliquoting

Next step: Time-Course and MOI assay
